Meet Mr. Met

Yep it’s true, my brother Russ is a die-hard Met fan and last night he got to experience any “New Yorkers” dream…a seat in Citi-Field or what we still call “Shea Stadium” with 90,000 other die-hard fans!

Exciting game to watch both in person and on tv…here are a few pics from our very own “Design Works Internationals” biggest Met fan! Thanks Russ for sharing!

NYC…..Color, Choas and Creativity!

I love how “Surreal” NYC looks in this photograph that I took on the first day of spring. Not sure what I love more, the pastel sky, the snow covered reservior or the contrast of color between the east and west side of the city.

People often ask how I can live in such a fast paced city for so long (celebrating 30 years) and raise a family and maintain a design business….the answer is easy…”Passion”!

To live in NYC you have to love this city for all it has to offer….I choose to see its beauty through color, architecture, art and its people that love to live here…to me it’s all about “the color chaos and creativity” of my life in NYC.

Snow. Do. Not. Enter.

I know the two words that we all want to say today “Happy Spring” might have to be on hold for at least tomorrow due to a pending snow storm on the east coast today!

Guess we have to remember that it’s only March 20th and we have had our fair share of snow on the east coast through April in past years.

The chaos for NYC will be the crazy commute home tonight as the storm should hit its stride by rush hour, BUT the creativity will come from yet another amazing photo op that NYC has to offer when it’s color is a blanket of fresh white snow!

Trying to stay positive….”TGIF”!

Solo Journey Winter 2015 NYC

Color, Chaos & Creativity

It’s true….this winter in  NYC it has been….shall I say “A bit brutal” with our fair share of snow, ice, hail and freezing temperatures…but looking through my camera lens I choose to see ” The Softer Side” of winter…

Repetition NYC

Color, Chaos & Creativity

Repetition in NYC could mean many things especially after living here for 30 years…as a designer it’s all about color, creativity and of course chaos, the positive kind!

Finding historic repetition like the detailing in these landmark handrail medallions in mixed metals just made my day! In NYC it’s all about appreciating “the history” that is captured by these everlasting signs of creativity!

I❤️NY!

This Happened…AGAIN!

Color, Chaos & Creativity

Well I guess the upside of Winter 2015 in NYC is that it’s a photographers paradise. Took this image tonight on the Upper Westside and it really looks like vintage NYC. It’s super cool how the snow camouflages the city and brings a softness to these street scenes! Black and White imagery is so beautiful as it helps create this timeless moment.
